I'm on the newly formed New Haven, Connecticut Pagan Pride Committee and I'm wondering when other areas are having their PPD. Not sure how big this is going to be, since we don't have the stuff from the previous LCs, but we want to do something this year and come back strong next year. Thoughts, opinions, etc.?

Amy- Some PPD events are smaller, others like the L.A. PPD or Eastern Mass. PPD are much greater in attendance size. Contact some local workshop presenters, get some bands, vendors, and have a good time. Eastern Mass. PPD is always held in late September.

We've had bands such as The Gypsy Nomads, Emerald Rose, and many others at EMPPD. Vendors tend to get lots of folks to attend.

A RC (Regional Coordinator) and former LC once told me something along the lines of "a PPD event can be as simple as people gathering in a park for a picnic and ritual or as complex as an event with vendors, musicians, and workshops."

I've been to the latter, and personally do not feel it shows the "outside" world who we are as people, our beliefs, and our connection / committment to the land (Mother Earth). But this is my biased opinion.

I suggest start small, find what works for your area, both for Pagans and non-Pagans, and grow from there.
